This design is based off a rug pattern my Gramz wove for me last year. It’s an ode to all the weavers who will be in front of their looms this coming Fall/Winter season. We’ll be seeing what they created in the Spring/Summer of next year.
When I was a young boy I’d sit on my Grandma Daisy’s lap in front of her loom and watch her weave. She’d let me use the batten to tap down the delicate strands of wool for a bit and then shoo me away so she could work. I’ll always remember that sound and would later learn how to weave myself.
